Getting Ready For School

I know it has been a long time since the last time I wrote but I have been really busy and we just got internet this past Saturday. Since we have had internet, my daughter, Paige has been on it and I have had no chance to sit and play.

We are getting ready for school and Paige will be in 8th grade this year. Boy how time flys by. I can remember putting her on the bus when she was headed to school for kindergarten. Anyway back to the getting ready for school. During the summer I had taken Paige school shopping here and there, but never got any shoes for her. Last weekend I asked her if she was ready for school and of course, she said yes. I asked her if all of her shoes fit her and she gave a little grin and said she does not have any more shoes that fit her and we NEED to go shopping. So once again, we are out shopping and I take to Famous Footwear in Robinson where they have a ton of shoes. My daughter picks 1 pair out of hundreds. They are tennis shoes. I am disgusted and I intended to stay there until she found another pair. After about an hour I gave up and bought the stupid tennis shoes and we headed home. I am telling her that she needs a pair of shoes to go with her skirts and they cannot be tennis shoes. She is arguing with me that she can wear tennis shoes with skirts. I explained to her that she is going to be a nerd if she does that. Like she isn't already a nerd. Joking - Ha-Ha!!!!!

Well, Sunday evening came and I knew that with running my children to there activities during the week, I knew I would never have time to get her another pair of cute (kinda dressy) shoes. So here I am dragging my poor 4 year old off and making him go to all the stores at Beaver Valley Mall. He was getting tired but Paige did find all kinds of new tops. This was not what we were looking for but bought them anyway!!! I kept promising Dante (my four year old) that he would get some new clothes also. Finally we went into a payless and to my suprise, Paige found a pair of shoes. Good old Payless. Boy do I miss that store around here. They were have a BOGO sale, which means buy one get 1/2 off the second pair of shoes. So since Dante decided to wear his new shoes in a mud hole and get them a total mess, I bought his shoes at Payless for 1/2 the price. What a deal!!!!

The journey of getting my daughter shoes and to get my son shoes was over. Whew!!! My son was still bothered and still wanted to shop for him. Shoes were not enough. I took him into Children's Place and boy did we find some deals. I got him ready for Pre-K and Paige is now ready for 8th Grade. What a day. We shopped for 4 hours then had a little dinner at Arby's. I really do not like Arby's but it was not bad. I might have to eat there again.
